What happens for us current ticket holder, who have to work tomorrow and can not attend the Monday race? What sort of refund will be possible. Maybe a raincheck for one of next year’s races?
Did you get an answer?
Of course not. The fans who are not able to attend tomorrow did not receive an answer or reply. This was my first race and I am highly disappointed.
Says no refunds on the ticket, you assume the risk of a washout
Don’t think any track refunds….it’s not Poconos fault….it’s Nascar
You do not get a refund. It says It on the ticket you bought. If they run the race and you can’t make it, that’s it. No Refund
Paul – Please reference our rescheduling policy on our Fan Information page. Please visit https://www.poconoraceway.com/fan-information.html
THIS MEANS THE REGULAR HARD WORKING FAN GETS SCREWED. I PURCHASED 3 TICKETS AT 250.00 PER TICKET STAYED IN AHOTEL LAST NIGHT FOR ANOTHER 200.00 AND I HAVE WORK TOMORROW..SO I GUESS I JUST THREW AWAY 750.00…NEVER SEE ME OR MY FAMILY AT A NASCAR EVENT AGAIN
Cya
They could care less. You are just another dolloarin their pocket not their BFF. Don’t go and don’t watch the Dog and Pony Show anymore. They don’t race anymore like they did 15-20 years ago. I had tickets to Charlotte, Daytona and Bristol. North Wilkesboro till they went under because of GREED. I let them all go, because I could no longer afford their inflated prices. What started out around 65-85 dollars kept going up. My last tickets at Daytona about 10 years ago was $150 each, that was $300, and if it rained , oh well I was out $300. So the can drive round their little tracks all they want too. I will not be there or watching from home.
Unfortunately, most race tracks do not issue refunds. It’s one of the unfortunate risks we take when we buy tickets to a live event.
But that happens at lot of sporting events. You didn’t have to by $200.00 tickets…… Or pay for a $200.00 room. That’s your choice not NASCAR.
Anthony, do as I am if it gets cancelled today again.Hopefully you put it on your credit card. If so dispute it. The track was dry at starting time but the corners had weepers. They were repairing the track when the fans were sitting there. Poor track maintenance.
Could of had some of the race in before the rain.
Maybe you should have taken Monday off, considering the weather forecast
I will never buy tickets for a pocono race again.
I called and they explained that they have a no refund policy. I asked what happens if the race is cancelled tomorrow indefinite and they said again they have a no refund policy so we would have to speak with the promotor if it would be postponed indefinitely.
This was my second time and LAST TIME at Pocono. I couldn’t stay, gave my tickets away to a friend who lives up there. I guess Merry Xmas to them. Plus it took 45 minutes to reach the gate to get out of the Infield parking lot. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ATTEND A RACE THERE.
Nascar needs to consider the fact that if tomorrow gets cancelled there needs to be a refund. That’s ridiculous. Glad thats what nascar thinks of its fans….NOTHING
How much will you sell them for..i work sundays. But gave off Monday to take my son
It is not NASCAR that has this policy.
It is the Pocono race track owners.
So, don’t blame NASCAR—They have plenty of shortcomings, without having to take the heat for this.
If they cant run Monday, they will attempt to reschedule the event for another date. 2 weeks from now is an off week after Watkins Glen. The Nascar rules state, “In the event the the race cant be run on regular weekend, the event will be moved to the end of the regular season.” Since the end of season there is possibilities of snow in the Poconos, I can see them only attempting to move it to an off weekend that there is no scheduled Cup race.
Jesse, this is a great questions and one, we unfortunately do not have an answer for. NASCAR will be the ones who decide this, but you are correct, it is the next available date on their schedule.
Im looking to buy tickets for tomorrow. Are they full price after you made all your money by not refunding tickets?
Never schedule work the day after a race. I go to Talladega, and I get plane tix for Tuesday.
I called they said if don’t show up you loose you ticket i had to return to new york so i loose my
When do you have to leave the pits?
One gate to get out really? What a ridiculous policy.
What would happen to our RV site if the race is on Tuesday are we still allowed to stay Monday night
We will allow campers to stay through the actual event, but not overnight. If this occurs Tuesday, this will likely be the case.
Will this race be televised?
Yes, on NBCSN.
Having the race on nbcsn is a joke since millions cant get the channel.
The original race was scheduled for the same channel, so this is not a step backwards.
years ago CBS, NBC, ABC CARRIED NASCAR
TODAY YOU NEED CABLE TO WATCH A RACE
ALL ABOUT THE $$$$$$
NASCAR YOU CARE LESS ABOUT THE FANS
There are no refunds.
States that on the ticket
Will people who have infield campsite be able to watch the Sprint Cup race at the Grandstands
Grandstands seats for the Pennsylvania 400, regardless of when it will be run, are all reserved seating. Therefore, an actual ticket for the seat is required. If you do not have a Pennsylvania 400 Grandstand seat, you will not be allowed to watch from the Grandstand.
Last time in June you allowed campers in the infield to watch from the grandstands. That’s how you treat loyal customers and fans who stay the entire weekend, not to mention the money spent on concessions, etc., but if you would rather empty seats that is what you will have….
Jeff Gordon I Said Good Luck Tommrow In Race Win DaleJr
Jeff Gordon Tell Dale Earnhardt Jr Iam Praying For Him And To Get Will From Is Number #1Fan HALEY NEEL??
Tickets For Me DAYTONA and ?
Tickets For Me DAYTONA and ?
I can not attend race tomorrow. What is your refund policy?
No reply, again. It has been made obvious that no one cares about the fans who have to work tomorrow. Most people do not even have access to NBCSN. I do not.
Are you new to nascar? For the last 40 years this has been the way things are, and a every track
They have mentioned above, as well as on the ticket NO REFUND.
The ticket policy says all sales are final, but your ticket will be ggo for the race. TAKE THE DAY OFF!
21 years trackside and anytime the race was rained out and run on Monday we were allowed to stay until Tuesday. Might be the end of my attending the Pocono races at. So much for the fan friendly track.
How are the pit crew guys that where hit buy the car on sat race . I hope they are okay. My kids and myself said prays for them at dinner last night.
Hi, We had assigned seating in Terrace Club for today’s game. Tomorrow, Monday, will Pocono Raceway honor our tickets and we will be allowed to sit in the same seats that we had for today? Thank you.
Yes and if someone is sitting in your seats, please get a security guard. You paid for that reserved seat.
What happens if the race is postponed again tomorrow?
NASCAR will attempt to get the race in on the next available date. They will determine the date and time.
Have you considered adding lights? Or refunding for next year to the fans that can’t make it. Monday is NOT a suitable reschedule date. Most people work and it’s not like they are missing out on a ticket that is $8. NASCAR should have a bettet refund policy in general. Also it’s currently raining so if you gave the tickets to someone that can use them they have to drive and sit and wait??? No info on the website an hour before te race starts. Pretty sad in this day and age. This was my first race and my kids. I can guarantee o won’t attend Poconos again
What if we cant go to the race monday? what do i get? or am i just screwed out of my money once again?
I am really shocked at NASCAR and Poconos lack of consideration for the fans. Majority of people there today cannot just show up tomorrow. People work. Poor decision making, race should’ve been cancelled yesterday with today’s forecast. Fans that were there today and generated revenue for both NASCAR and Pocono raceway should be given a voucher for future use if we cannot attend race tomorrow ( which most likely will not occur either based on tomorrow’s weather). I am saddened and disappointed by this.
We are in Victory Club and have all our bracelets on. I threw tickets when the girl upstairs said I didn’t need them anymore. I hope the bracelets are enough after all the money we paid.
Please visit our Gate 8 ticket office in the morning. They should be able to assist you then.
most people don’t get nbcsn
what if the race is postponed or canceled monday
It would be run on the next available date. If that is the case, Tuesday is our guess but it is NASCAR’s decision and we follow their lead
It’s suppose to rain until Tuesday. What are we suppose to do, drive there tomorrow only to have it postponed again AND do the same for Tuesday? Why can’t it just be scheduled for Wednesday? If you don’t have an answer for me, who can I message about this, NASCAR? PLEASE RESPOND. THANK YOU!
We were in Victory Club. Had all our wristbands and the girl said we were done with the tickets. The wristbands should be enough after all we paid. Right?
Very disappointed with the track conditions, and the inconvenience to the fans, there was plenty of time to try off the track and more then enough daylight to start and finish the race. With rain in the forcast for tomorrow don’t know what the difference was, except fans have work and other obligations, I will never go to another race here, what a complete waste of time and money, and i will be sure to pass my thoughts along to other fans.
We’re you at the same Pocono Track I was? It rained all morning, then at 11:30 when it stopped they immediately had the jet dryers running. I was there in infield . Need the track dry so no one skids out and causes a major wreck or injuries
What if it pours tomorrow as they are saying it wll?
It would be run on the next available date. If that is the case, Tuesday is our guess but it is NASCAR’s decision and we follow their lead.
are there garage passes for tommorow?
Those who have garage passes will be given entry. We only offer Pr-Race Pit/Paddock Passes and if you have those already, those will be honored. We will NOT be selling any new Pit/Paddock Passes tomorrow.
The rules state there is no food service in the Skybox. Will beverages be served?
NO food and beverage in the Skyboxes for postponements. You are allowed to bring a 12 x 12 cooler, but it cannot contain glass
We purchased tickets for Sunday’s race and now it is post poned until Monday, a work day. I cannot just call off from work to attend. Does that mean we are out our 200.00!
I have club Pocono seats. After trying to get out for 3.5 hours I wanted to do general parking. Could do that but still have tunnel access before and after the race?
Yes
Can’t believe there will be no food service tomorrow. And they campers arent allowed to stay tomorrow night. Along with the no re entry policy. What has become of Pocono Raceway?
We were allowed to leave the infield and come back with infield wrist bands sunday evening.
it is unfortunate that the race could not be ran today but it is mother nature. I dont understand all the negative comments about missing work and getting a refund. This type of thing happens its not something new.
Y’all never even planned on running this race. The cars were not even seen by the fans in the stands.
Hey dummy, they were not going to push the cars out only to have them get poured on.
In the event of rain tomorrow, what is the length of a shortened race; 1 lap or 200 km’s??? Thank you.
fix your track and maintain it with the millions you make then the rain wouldn’t have been a problem what a rip off Maybe that’s why you call it the tricky triangle !!!
My son and I had tickets to todays race. My son has to work tomorrow and I would like to bring three of my grandkids. Is the ticket pricing the same as Sundays pricing or is it reduced due to the postponement ?
Ticket prices are the same. Kids, ages 12 and under are half price in the 100 and 200 Levels
This event was poorly handled. We sat for more than 2 hours while the track was being dried. The drivers were announced and then that’s it…there were no announcements or anything. It was obviously going to rain and the race wasn’t suspended. The race is tomorrow and we cannot attend because we have to work. What a money sucker! The stands will be empty tomorrow because the average attendee has to work! On top of that getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare! I was stuck in my car for over 1.5 hours without moving! You need to have more consideration for your fans! We’ve spent the money and have nothing to show-except wet clothes and shoes! Unbelievable!
Yeah I saw at the one gate it was three lanes exiting and not a single car went out for 20 minutes. Poor planning
Three hours!!!! We didn’t move at all for over an hour and finally they opened turn one. We went on the track and it took about another hour to get to the tunnel. It’s never taken three hours!!!
Couldn’t agree more. The parking lot was a disaster. I just wasted hundreds of dollars since I can’t attend tomorrow due to work.
Will concession stands be open at race tomorrow?
Select concession areas will be open
After spending $300 + for tickets and swag I think it is totally unacceptable that there is no consideration for the people who can not come on Monday. It has been a long time since I have been to a NASCAR race and if they do not satisfy the people that have sent hard earned money to see a race I for one will never send a dime on NASCAR anything. I will take my money to a local short track they have better racing and a refund policy.
I purchased tickets for my boyfriend for a Christmas present spent top dollar to be in the towers now I realize it was a total waste of money. I know weather is out of your control but its out of mine too. Do you think it’s reasonable to assume all the ticket holders will call in sjck to their jobs tomorrow? I can tell you that you wouldn’t like it if all your employees called out tomorrow. It’s a shame that you are refusing to acknowledge the people that pay your check. The fans. A rain check or a discount on a future purchase to your track would go a long way in showing any form of integrity. I’ll be waiting for your reply. If you do right by your fans or you do nothing it will be long reaching on social media this is your choice not nascars
I have learned long ago that Pocono race track was only concerned about the money, not the fan. Doc said one thing, but did another. We have stopped attending the scripted races, it is a joke and demeaning to the actual roots of NASCAR. My two cents!
Will there be free drinks in the Terrace Club on Monday?
No food or beverage will be served. You can bring a 12 x 12 coolers tomorrow, but no glass of any kind is allowed.
I didn’t see any postings of the winning 50/50 raffle number? Was wondering when it will be drawn??
Visit http://www.ps5050.com/pocono
how do you get a nascar hot/cold pass?
Usually you have to know someone who works for one of the sponsors or car manufacturers. That’s about the only way you can obtain them.
I understand mother nature is at fault, but they want rain for Monday and Tuesday. Don’t they need to start rolling to their next race. If they cannot race at all this week, what happens to our tickets?
If anybody doesn’t want to go tomorrow and just st wants to give their tickets I am good with that.
can we still buy pit/paddock passes
If we are in the infield camping and don’t have a pit pass will we be able to use the tunnel to go to grandstand to our seats today was a joke race was canceled they said use the bus because we didn’t have pit passes after 45 minutes of sitting on they said we could use the tunnel please fix this
Will they cancel any earlier then 11am tomorrow since it looks like a wash out
Saved up and spent $500.00 for 3 tickets…purchased for my dad as a Father’s Day gift. First NASCAR race ever and last race at Pocono Raceway. You’ll be closed soon enough due to low patronage. Your fan experience is average at best and you know it. Focus on your fans or close your doors for such a poor product and service. Not the last you have heard from me. Your CEO will be called and called until I get my money back. I hope it pours tomorrow while I will be back at work paying off an experience that never happened. Shameful.
I came out here all the way from the Bronx NY, with my son, husband and a driver who drove us over there, feeling so sad now, that we will not be able to attend tomorrow, that is so messed up, can we at least get free tickets for next year to attend, please.
It’s mother natures call! NASCAR does its best to run a safe, exciting show. Pocono Raceway, the promoter, does its best to keep the fans safe and comfortable. Auto Sports has always been weather permitting. Obviously some fans need to deal with the issue. It stinks when it happens but it’s an outdoor sporting event.
We are still waiting on moderation for the length of a shortened race in case of rain on a 2nd day. I would hope someone can answer the question.
Last year my husband and I went to Charlottesville. It rained on race day. They ran it the next day. ALL concessions stands were open as well as re-entry through out the day. Don’t understand why Pocono not the same. Will continue to keep going to Nascar races. Things like this are misfortunes but not deterrent. Can’t help mother nature. But can make a decision about which tracks are better than others.
I meant Charlotte
What happens if it rains tomorrow, and dose nascar have to have the race?
I understand there not being refunds if the race is ran as scheduled, but when an event is postponed to a time during the work week and refunds/rain checks are not an option for all the hardworking fans, that’s completely unfair. These events wouldn’t be possible without the fan following and that should be recognized.
Michigan is a great track to go to for those of you that are west of pocono. Dover for those of you east and south. THOSE TRACKS TAKE CARE OF THE FANS. I suggest next year a boycott on pocono. Facebook and Twitter are great places to start one. I agree. There WAS NEVER ANY INTENTION to run this race TODAY!!!!!
Looking for tickets for Monday for 4 Adults. Prefer Box or higher priced tickets. Please let me know how to purchase tickets for tomorrow’s race.

The customer service at the track has a lot to be desired. I have tickets for the Victory Club and was able to get pit passes for Saturday but was told by an employee that I could not get a pit pass for Saturday than told after the event from another employee that was totally incorrect. Than I had an F park pass for Sunday and told to park at the opposite end of the track from where that parking lot was at and had to wait in traffic for an extra 30 minutes I didn’t need too. Than I’m not able to get straight answers from employees on anything. However, I do applaud the track and NASCAR for doing there best to get the race in today and I believe their refund policy is stated clear on the ticket. However, in the future I’ll stick to Watkins Glen where the employees can give clear confident answers and where the customer service is a step up. Disappointed with certain aspects of the Pocono experience but not the weather.
Can you buy a ticket at the gate?
Yes, you can.
My cousin and I came here for the first time today and we left disappointed. Obviously you guys can’t control the rain but the no refund policy is bull. We both have to work tomorrow so now I’m out $172 for the 2 tix plus gas, tolls, the 5 hours of driving, etc. I now have to do a rain dance tomorrow and hope they postpone it until August 14th because that’s the only free Sunday NASCAR has for the rest of the season.
What most of you are forgetting is that you purchased your tickets/pit passes/hotel room/ RV spot etc. knowing that there could be a chance of rain…. just like the millions of other NASCAR fans do at other tracks throughout the season. Guess what?!? I had tickets for todays race and I don’t expect to get my money back. Would I like it back? Of course, but I know it’s not going to happen and that’s just how it is. It’s the same with any other outdoor sporting event! It’s not Pocono’s fault that it rained and that NASCAR postponed the race until tomorrow! If half of you were still there waiting in traffic like I was, you’d have seen that there were multiple rain showers after that brief one that totally re-wet the track, so that would’ve set the start time back even further!! NASCAR and Pocono do what they have always done…. made safety for both the drivers and the fans their first priority! I will say that I was a little disappointed that we fans in the stands were not given much information in the way of why it was taking so long to get the track dried, when from what I could see at the start/finish line, it was completely dry. From what I heard around me, there was an issue with the track in turn 1 from the rain the night before and that was from people who had their scanners set to the officials scanner. Pocono could do a better job of that. It was hard to hear the PA announcer over the jet dryers. The other issue I have is with getting out after the race is over. There needs to be more traffic directors when the event is over and not just where the main roads/dirt roads are located. All things considered, I had a great time as I always do and I plan to return next year!!
Did they choose a hero from their submissions??I haven’t seen anything about the 5 finalists and/or a winner.
Yes, we will be announcing the winner very soon.
anyone know of websites you can buy ticket for Monday from folks that cant make it?
Tickets will be available for purchased at our Gate 8 Box Office
Will there be any food at the track tomorrow?
Yes, select food and beverage stands will be available.
We camped all weekend in the infield. Came back home. Will most likely make it up for the postponed race – Will we be able to enter through general admission grandstands wearing our infield wristbands and pit pass bands?
Stop by the Gate 8 Box Office the day the race is held. They should be able to assist you.
I am deeply saddened by NASCARs lack of appreciation for their fans and the hard earned money that they spend on tickets, swag and food and beverages. I could understand if the race actually started and then it had to be cancelled due to the weather but they NEVER brought the cars out. WE PAID TO SEE NOTHING. We drive from long distances and sit in traffic and wait patiently to see our favorite drivers race so why are we treated so rudely by not getting some type of refund for our tickets when it is impossible to go to the Monday rescheduled race due to work. I have lost a lot of respect for NASCAR and it’s a shame that they never had any respect for us. They just want our money.
There should be a class action lawsuit against NASCAR for what happen today. We paid for tickets to attend this race with the promise to see a race at a specific time on a specific day. Once the track was dried, the race should have started as promised by the contract NASCAR has with their ticket purchasers. If it begins to rain during the race, then NASCAR has a legitimate reason to suspend it. The “threat” of foul weather is not reason enough to inconvenience thousands of people without there being some recourse to the fans. We feel that we have been treated unfairly and NASCAR needs to address this situation with the fans or they will certainly lose many of them due to this incident.
Went to race today 5 hour ride their 5 hours back before we make the 5 hour trip tomorrow can you please tell me what the chances of getting race in understand theese things happen out of tracks control and yes disappointing but no one can control mother nature 🙁 🙁 just can’t see the local weather for long pond area can you please help with chances of getting race in everyone. Thank you for any help you can give me
By the looks of the weather for tomorrow they won’t be racing. what happens then do they push it to Tuesday or just cancel the race outright
NASCAR will do everything to get the race started and completed on the next available date. The race HAS to be run as it is a championship event.
They blew it today. They knew the race was going to be postponed (no cars lined up in the pits, no National Anthem, etc.). They never gave a race update to the fans in the stands, they just keep the vendor booths open to make money. Finally, when a race was postponed due to weather, the gates would be open for all the next day, FREE! But now you need a ticket for entry. It’s no longer open for all.
Wish the Doc was still around. He was a fan of the people!
First time ever of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race spent over $600 to go to the Poconos race I will never ever attend a race again very disappointed I knew the race was not going to go off anyway because the cars weren’t even out on the Pit Road I never seen where the cars in on Pit Road when they were trying to try Wednesday driving tracks They always send the car out on a track then Dr Pitts Road why weren’t the cars on the track that tells me that Poconos knew something was up and just wasn’t letting the fans know very this point it will never attend again waste of money and time
NASCAR should refund everyone’s money for the people who cannot attend the race on Monday because the race should have gone on it did not start raining again until 4:30 there was no reason for the race not to start first time ever at a NASCAR race it will be my last never ever again very disappointed
Pocono and NASCAR are so over…the best days are clearly in the past. These NASCAR events are such a ridiculously overpriced waste of money in the first place… I feel sorry for the fans but this is nothing new for Pocono…you should know better. Mattiolis & NASCAR are laughing all the way to the bank! Pocono will always be a dump
The track was pretty much there i.e. dry at 1:30 race time. The delays appeared quite intentional, it seems NASCAR or the track owner just wanted to rake in the concessions for the day.
You should give thought to eliminating the long introduction formalities and communicating with your customers. I wasn’t camping this weekend but your stated policy to kick them out really gives all customers a bad taste.
Everyone understands mother nature controls but we can also take a smart approach towards our businesses right?
NASCAR fans, this happens with all sporting events. Poconos raceway has been notting other than helpful and professional. I have been coming to this race
Track for the last 4 years and the staff have been outstanding, and treat all guess with respect and military guess like royalty. Semper Fi Pocono team.
We came from Canada and have Monday off from work. We always plan for a rain date. What was disappointing yesterday was the length of time they worked on the track to fix some spots at turn three. The cars never even came out. That tells you they were never in going to race that day. Leaving the race to get back to the rv infield was so slow. We tried the bus and then the tunnel. We had 6 people in our group with 2 having pit passes. We were told no can’t use tunnel for 4 of us. Come on we just wanted to get to our rv. We finally did because a very nice bus driver made it happen. Thank you to him. He was the same one who drove us over. He told us all once we got to the track. Pick up would not happen until 1 hour after the race was done and where to meet him at gate 11. This guy was very helpful. You need more people like him. The tunnel people just kept telling us to write a letter. We’ll that’s what l am doing now . Your tunnel people should have had the balls to open up the passage for us all. Take a look at a Homestead track. They could teach you a thing or two about customer service. We had a great party last night in the infield and now listening to the dryers on the track before 7. Hope all the hard work they do works out. We are here only because of Jeff Gordon hoping to see him race. Our fingers are crossed. If it doesn’t happen we still had a great time and onto our next race in Martinville in Oct and then Homestead. We love nascar just wish they would share the love to all the fans in some small discount for rain delays. Good luck today and keep on racing.
It says that I can bring a cooler today up to 12′ X 12′. Is that a typo or is it actually as it’s printed 12 (foot) X 12 (foot)?
12 inches by 12 inches
How doz the weather look today .do you think the races are gonna start at 11am.thank you
As of 8:15 a.m., we are on as scheduled.
What are the chances of it being postponed again today? It’s pouring here in Howells, NY and I don’t want to make ANOTHER 1 1/2 HOUR TRIP (one way)if it’s going to be postponed again. I think it’s very unfair that no refunds or anything are made when it’s possible it can be postponed for a second day in a row. How many days off can you take for one race? Most of the fans are blue collar worker and work hard for their money. They can’t just take off.
Thank you to NASCAR and Poconos Raceway for prioritizing the safety of the drivers. I understand the frustration of the fans who are unable to attend the race Monday. I spent money not only on a ticket and concessions and t-shirts and a hotel, but also airfare from Texas and gas to drive the hour and a half to the airport. I took two days off from work. If they don’t race today, which is possible, I won’t make it back. This is racing. This is Mother Nature. Refunds would bankrupt the venue especially since they were rained out in June. I consider my ticket a investment in the only family owned track still operating. The decision to postpone is not made lightly, but driver safety comes first.
I am sure this will not be a popular post, but frankly, I am not interested in the drivers safety. They get paid by the fans a ton of money because it is supposed to be dangerous and they are supposed to be good at what they do. If there are wet spots, drive around them, if it raining put an appropriate tire on and wipers and drive. These pampered millionaires can’t seem to perform in anything other than the perfect bubble they have created. And they wonder why stands are not full, Daytona eliminated back stretch stands etc.?
It is NOT exciting, and thus the return to the paying fan is no longer worth the investment. Then to complete the fable, the Emporer continues to wear no clothes, by arrogantly putting their short term profits before the Long term health of the sport.
Thank you, Lisa, for your sportsmanship! You are a true NASCAR fan.
I have not been to Pocono for years til yesterday , but thought to give it another try, I do attend at least 6 or 7 other races a year. The main reason is the track , same issues year after year ,and all they do is put a bandaid on it, maybe a good engineer with a new drainage system would be a help. You have to spend money to make money. You can’t control the weather anywhere, but every other track doesn’t have as many issues as here. Safety is the issue, maybe NASCAR should get involved and only have 1 race or none til the problem is addressed.
It’s called, read the policy BEFORE you spend the money. You know it may happen, why wouldn’t you check it out prior to purchasing tickets ?
So if the race is Tuesday we can camp over night mon night till the race. Then leave at the conclusion of the race?
If the race is postponed for another weekend, do we get to use our tickets from yesterday’s race? I worked hard and saved for these tickets, even driving up there to pay off the tickets so we wouldn’t lose our seats. Neither of us can make it up there for an 11:00 race because we have to work. Why is it scheduled so early? Maybe if it was later in the day more people could go and at least catch the end.
I have terrace seating and dot understand why there will be no food today..I paid for the package..I could’ve just got a regular seat and went and got food. At least we should get vouchers for food. What is your policy
Any news, are you running today ?
Is the race still scheduled to start at 11am/
I agree the refund policy stinks and I feel for those that can’t attend. However, has anyone considered the following?
1) Why do we need two races at Pocono? Isn’t there another location within driving distance of NY, Philly and DC/Baltimore that could be developed and/or built to host a Cup Event? NJ Motorsports Park (with minor modifications like grandstands)? Lime Rock (same)? How about including a road/oval course in the Xanadu development? What about the Nassau Coliseum project? What about one of the many dirt tracks in the area, again with minor modifications to accommodate a crowd? Plenty of viable options exist for creative developers and motorsports enthusiasts.
2) Why doesn’t NASCAR have a wet-racing program, like most other major racing series? Imagine a wet-weather event on a modified course involving Turn 1, the infield access roads and test tracks, treaded tires, windshield wipers, temporary chicanes and very little grip- sign me up!!! That would be an event I would actually watch from start to finish, rather than using as a sleep inducer, which is usually the case each visit to the “TT”. Weepers are not an issue when you’re not afraid of the rain, NASCAR…
we went to race on sunday, cancelled. can’t make race on monday but since we still have tickets and if race is cancelled monday, can we still use those tickets if it’s rescheduled to another day or do we have to repurchase again? hope you understand!lol
The weather is not mascara fault not is it poconos fault. It is a gamble just like baseball and many other events that depend on the weather being good. Also check your tickets I’m sure it’s on there it’s on mine. But hey it’s America who reads!!!!
When was the 50/50 drawn from Sunday?
Purchased tickets for Sunday’s race, spending hard earned money, and am so disappointed. Like so many hard working Americans, I have to work on Monday and am unable to attend Monday’s race. Just can’t wrap my head around all sales are final policy. I can understand no full refund, but vouchers, or discounted merchandise? I have been coming to Pocono for almost 10 years, seen so many weather issues here, can’t risk wasting any more money. Any future NASCAR races I attend will be day of race purchases with sunny skies and no storms on the horizon.
How much are tickets? The website is giving an error message. Where can I get the information?
I have a ticket for the 50/50 raffle. What was the winning number
Yes, please visit http://www.ps5050.com/pocono
First time to Pocono. My husband and I try to do one track a year. We sat for an hour and half with not one public announcement as to what the delay of the race was., until they called the race due to the obvious reason. Not until later did we hear the track has weepers. Why had this issue not been dealt with before hand? I’m assuming the track does have some down time, no? Had this been corrected a good part of the race could have been run.We plan these races around our schedules not the conditions (or lack of maintenance) of the track! So with this being said how is Pocono Raceway going to accommodate us, so that you have a repeat Nascar fan(s)?
