LONG POND, Pa. (May 10, 2017) – Thanks to Monster Energy, fans can enjoy all of the racing action and fun activities at Pocono Raceway on Friday, June 9 for free just by recycling any size Monster Energy can.
With Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying, NASCAR XFINITY Series practice and the ARCA Racing Series General Tire #AnywhereisPossible 200, Friday has a bevy of on-track activity.
“This first of its kind initiative in NASCAR continues to showcase our dedication to our fans, partners and the environment,” said Pocono Raceway President & CEO Brandon Igdalsky. “We are thrilled to know that anyone who chooses to recycle a Monster Energy can will enjoy a great day of NASCAR and ARCA racing free of charge!”

Your admission is free of charge with an empty Monster Energy drink can as is grandstand parking.
Fans can bring their Monster Energy can to be recycled at our redemption center outside of Fan Fair behind the grandstands. They will be given a ticket and can enjoy a Friday at the racetrack for free. In addition to the on-track action, Monster Energy will also be doing displays in the Fan Fair along with a number of vendors.
Monster Energy will also host an autograph session featuring drivers Kurt Busch, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Chris Buescher at 2 p.m. ET at their display. For those attending the events on June 9th, please visit the Monster Energy display, located in Fan Fair, for additional information.
Pocono Raceway, along with Monster Energy and NASCAR will ensure all cans are recycled. Under the NASCAR Green umbrella, a comprehensive recycling effort has accounted for millions of bottles and cans being recycled annually thanks to designated bins in the grandstands, concourse, suites, garage, and campgrounds at almost every track NASCAR visits. Pocono Raceway will host seven national motorsports events during the 2017 racing season, including a NASCAR XFINITY Series race on June 10. The Pocono 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race is set for June 11, the Pennsylvania 400 MENCS race on July 30 and the ABC Supply 500 Verizon IndyCar Series race on August 20. The Pocono Mountains 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck race is scheduled for July 29 and two ARCA Series Presented by Menards races with General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 on June 9 and the ARCA Racing Series 150 on July 28 offered as well.

Matt – Yes, a Pre-Race Pit/Paddock Pass can be validated on Friday if you bring a Monster Energy can to be recycled. Simply visit Pit/Paddock Pass Validation, as you normally would, to get your pass validated for the weekend! 🙂

Do you know of this will be a promo for the next race when they are in town?
Deanna – This promotion is only available for June 9, 2017 at Pocono Raceway. If it does change to include the July race weekend, we will make an announcement, but there is no indication it will occur at this time.
Can we recycle a can of Monster Java or does it have to be the traditional black/green can?

I have a parking pass in area f I got with hospitality tickets for sunday. Is the parking pass also good for friday? It doesn’t have specific dates on it. Just says June 2017
Your “F” parking pass need to accompany a ticket. Given the ticket is only valid for Sunday, you will only have access inside the track on Sunday. We suggest using our FREE Grandstand parking if you are attending Friday and/or Saturday.

Can we wear capris or shorts if we have pit passes?

Thanks for the great idea; ill be bringing my motorcycle any special parking and or gear lockers available? Also can I get a pit pass for Friday?
We have motorcycle parking near Gate 8. We do not have lockers, of any kind. Pit Paddock Passes are available, but they are $50 and are valid the entire weekend. A pit pass must be accompanied by a gate admission tickets (or the Monster Energy can on Friday only) for access to that specific area.

I have purchased tickets for Sunday race can I also get into Fri and Sat events with those tickets?
A ticket is required for each day you plan to attend. Today, you can use an empty can of Monster Energy to get inside, but this is for Friday, June 9th only.
does the recycle a can give us actses to the pits and are we able to see the cars and driver defor they go on track?. what im trying to say is if i come there with a can am i able to see drivers and cars in the garage with team members or evon drivers??????
It will only give you access to Fan Fair and the Grandstand. A Pre-Race Pit/Paddock Pass is required for access to those areas.
