At Pocono Raceway, we draw fans from all over the world. Because of our geographic location and proximity to New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., international racing fans tend to use Pocono Raceway as their “home track.” We know they might only ever attend one race and we embrace this responsibility and opportunity on behalf of all motorsports to create a tremendous experience. We have been fortunate enough to hosts guests from at least 30 different counties. We asked a few of them to tell us their stories. For the next eight weeks, we will showcase these international Pocono Raceway fans.

Q: How did you become interested in NASCAR?
A: I come from a great motorsport family in Sweden. We are three brothers that race in rally and rallycross since 1969 and now our sons is racing in rallycross and crosskart. Petter, three-time world champion in rally / rallycross is married to Pernilla (daughter of my older brother Per-Inge). My son Lukas raced this year in Nordic RX Championship driving a Renault Clio supercar, 600+hp and 4wd.
I bring 3 persons from our Helmia Motorsport team to Pocono and the weekend after to Canada and World RX for suporting Petter.
Q: How do you follow races in your home country?
A: I started looking at NASCAR on TV years ago. Today, I follow every race live on TV. I like the speed, many different winners and not changing the rules all fo the time. For me, NASCAR is much better than Formula 1.
Q: Who is your favorite driver and why?
A: I am a fan of the #48 Jimmie Johnson so much that my son Lukas drives #48 on his car. Next generation, #24 Chase Elliott is another favorite and of course Rick Hendricks.
Q: Why did you choose to come to Pocono Raceway?
A: I am bringing three people from our Helmia Motorsport team to Pocono Raceway to see the track and experience NASCAR.
Q: How long have you been planning this trip?
A: For about four months.
Q: Are you doing anything else in the United States during your stay?
A: After Pocono, we are going to Canada and World RX for supporting Petter.
Q: What are you most excited for about race weekend?
A: Getting a team t-shirt!
