LONG POND, PA (March 9, 2016) – Pocono Raceway President & CEO Brandon Igdalsky has announced that Glen Burnie, Md.-based Holmatro Rescue Equipment is its Official Rescue Equipment provider.
Pocono Raceway will host over 17- events at ‘’The Tricky Triangle’ in 2016, including seven national racing events and will rely on the safety equipment of Holmatro.
“Our primary concern is the safety of our fans, drivers, team and those who utilize our track,” said Igdalsky. “This partnership ensures we have the proper equipment to do that. We know we have the best equipment on the market and we now have access to any specialized equipment we may need.”
Holmatro has a proven track record of supporting the racing industry through race safety teams like the Holmatro Safety Team at INDYCAR along with various tracks.
“I had the pleasure of attending a Verizon IndyCar Series event at Pocono Raceway and felt that our equipment would serve the purposes of the safety team throughout the year,” Holmatro-USA President Daniel Reese said.
Pocono Raceway will also have the benefit of working with a local dealer, ESI Equipment, Inc., that will be on hand for major events and any time services are needed.”
Pocono Raceway will have two response vehicles equipped with the Holmatro Rescue Equipment, JYD Industries rescue struts and first-in supplies, along with extinguishing and cleanup systems that can assist all of the different types of cars that utilize the raceway.

Pocono Raceway will host seven national motorsports events during the 2016 racing season, including a NASCAR XFINITY Series race for the inaugural time on June 4. The Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race is set for June 5, the Pennsylvania 400 NSCS race on July 31 and the ABC Supply 500 Verizon IndyCar Series race on August 21. The Pocono Mountains 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck race is scheduled for July 30 and two ARCA Series Presented by Menards races with General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 on June 3 and the ModSpace 150 on July 29 offered as well.
